From the heart of some of our esteemed guests...
“Amazing backwaters!!”
We had the most perfect introduction to the backwaters. We chose this place based on the other reviews on tripadvisor and weren't disappointed. Rajeev and his family were incredibly welcoming and really helpful. The villa backs right onto the backwaters in a really lovely spot. The garden is awesome, with mango trees, jack fruit and bananas. Really nice to laze away the day in the hammock with the house cat. The food was particularly good, real Keralan food, really tasty. Lunch was served in the garden and consisted of several dishes served in a banana leaf and eaten with your fingers (if you wished)The room was great, large with tv, Aircon and the outside bathroom a real treat. Showering under the stars was very cool.Rajeev organized a motorboat to take us around the backwaters, which was a truly amazing experience. The boat is able to go into the smaller canals, which the houseboats can't do, so you get to see real village life up close. The sunset is also incredibly beautiful, particularly from the roof of the the motorboat, where we sat with a couple of beers provided by Rajeev.Overall really enjoyable stay, and we couldn't recommend it enough. Certainly a world away from our home in London.

The family was very nice and did everything to let us feel to be a part of them. Especially dinner in their own rooms with special Kerala food was excellent (but too much, smile.....). The houseboats and old rice boats on the river in front of the hammocks in the cultivated garden let us feel to be in paradise. The host, Rajeev and Angelie, were very interested in other culture and nations and so we had a lot of interesting talkings.
Conclusion: The stay can be recommended !
Best regards to your whole family from the dark and cold Germany (we have a little snow, temperature around 0° C with a strong, cold wind...)

We had a wonderful restful stay- lying in hammocks, reading and watching the boats go by. Interesting walks. Everyone was very kind and very attentive to our needs.
